Manoeuvres

The FAI F3C A & B Schedule .pdf will be used for F3C.
Novice and Advanced manoeuvres are here and the 5th manoeuvre for Novice is here.

Accomodation

Apollo Gardens, Cabin Style accomodation with heaps of room for choppers, half hours drive from the field.

Getting to the field

The field is around an hours drive from the Melbourne airport, slightly longer from the centre of the city. Car is the only viable method of getting there unless you can arrange a lift with someone else from the club.

Official Dinner

A dinner will be organised on Saturday.

Rounds

We will run at least 3 rounds of F3C A schedule, Novice and Advanced. Additionally there will be rounds of the F3C B schedule. F3C will use the old normalised system. If the weather turns bad we will reduce the number of rounds.

Entry Forms

At this stage we do not expect to require entry forms to be completed prior to the event.

Start times

The competitions will start from 09:30AM, practice time is available beforehand. Registration is from 8:30 until 9:00. This will be firmly adhered to due to the number of pilots expected.

Flight Lines

We expect to run two flight lines, one for Novice and another to be shared between advanced and F3C.

Judging

There will be three judges for Novice and Advanced, and five judges for F3C. The head judge is officially accredited by the FAI. The head judge or contest directors descision is final.

Entry Fee

An entry fee of $20 will be charged.

Catering

Hamburgers, Sausages and drinks will be available for purchase at the field.

Fuel Availability

We can put you in contact with local hobby shops who will be attending and can bring fuel to the field by arrangement.

Frequencies

Australia uses the 36Mhz band. If you are visiting from overseas you will need to be able to operate on this frequency or make special arrangements with the organisers.

Skill Level

You do not need to be either an expert pilot, or experienced at competition to enter. Novice often includes pilots who are still flying with a training undercarriage. If there is some doubt about which level of competition you should compete in, the judges can watch a demonstration flight and help you decide.
