Apollo Gardens, Cabin Style accomodation with heaps of room for choppers, half hours drive from the field.
The field is around an hours drive from the Melbourne airport, slightly longer from the centre of the city. Car is the only viable method of getting there unless you can arrange a lift with someone else from the club.
A dinner will be organised at a pub on the Saturday night. Details will be available here when we finish sampling the pubs.
We will run 5 rounds of F3C and 4 for each of Novice and Advanced. The pilots worst round will be dropped. If the weather turns bad we will reduce the number of rounds.
The competitions will start from 10:00AM, practice time is available beforehand.
We expect to run two flight lines, one for Novice and another to be shared between advanced and F3C.
There will be three judges for Novice and Advanced, and five judges for F3C. The head judge is officially accredited by the FAI. The head judge or contest directors descision is final.
An entry fee of $20 will be charged. $5 from this will go towards helping the 2005 Australian F3C World Titles team.
Hamburgers, Sausages and drinks will be available for purchase at the field.
We can put you in contact with local hobby shops who will be attending and can bring fuel to the field by arrangement.
Australia uses the 36Mhz band. If you are visiting from overseas you will need to be able to operate on this frequency or make special arrangements with the organisers.
You do not need to be either an expert pilot, or experienced at competition to enter. Novice often includes pilots who are still flying with a training undercarriage. If there is some doubt about which level of competition you should compete in, the judges can watch a demonstration flight and help you decide.
